What's happening in 2008 - the best place to find the most up to date details on the events programme is the official website www.liverpool08.com some of the years hightlight include

 

  • In September 08 the city will become a stage as Artichoke will be bringing a magical new show to Liverpool
  • In November the city will host the 15th annual MTV Europe Music Awards at the Echo Arena Liverpool

 

 

Getting to Liverpool

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is 9 miles southeast of the city centre. The Airlink 500 bus service runs to the city centre every 20 minutes and Liverpool South Parkway train station is nearby with regular service to and from the airport

 

Fast and frequent train services operate across the whole of Merseyside and the entire fleet of 59 trains has recently undergone a complete refurbishment

 

Merseyside has a great bus network. The S2 and S3 services are the circualr routes around Liverpool City Centre.
